Atlantic Aviation Acquires ExecuJet’s St. Maarten FBO

ExecuJet Caribbean, a subsidiary of the Luxaviation Group, has completed the sale of its fixed-base operator (FBO) at St. Maarten’s Princess Juliana International Airport to Atlantic Aviation, marking a shift in the competitive landscape at one of the Caribbean’s busiest business aviation gateways.

The transaction follows a period of operational change at the airport. Earlier this year, ExecuJet Caribbean renewed its FBO concession agreement with Princess Juliana International Airport Operating Company N.V. (PJIAE) and relocated into a newly developed facility within the airport’s general aviation terminal. The new space measures approximately 1,200 square feet (112 square metres), while the remaining portion of the terminal was operated by fellow FBO specialist Signature Aviation.

Despite the recent renewal and relocation, ExecuJet has now opted to exit the St. Maarten FBO market, transferring the operation to Atlantic Aviation. The move expands Atlantic Aviation’s international footprint and strengthens its presence in the Caribbean, where demand for business and private aviation services remains strong, driven by leisure travel, seasonal traffic, and high-net-worth clientele.

ExecuJet Caribbean first established operations in St. Maarten in 2016 following its acquisition of TLC Aviation’s FBO. Since then, the company has played a key role in serving private, charter, and business aircraft at the airport, which is known for its challenging approach, high traffic volumes, and popularity with private jet operators.

While exiting St. Maarten’s Princess Juliana International Airport, ExecuJet Caribbean continues to maintain a presence on the island. The company still operates an FBO at St. Martin, located on the northern, French-administered side of the island, allowing it to retain access to regional business aviation traffic.

Beyond the Caribbean, ExecuJet remains active across a broad international network. The company operates an FBO at Monterrey Mariano Escobedo International Airport in Mexico and maintains multiple locations across Africa, Asia-Pacific, Europe, and the Middle East. These operations form part of Luxaviation Group’s wider strategy to focus on premium aviation services, including FBO management, aircraft charter, and private jet services.

The sale reflects ongoing consolidation within the global FBO sector, as larger operators continue to expand through acquisitions to gain scale, network reach, and operational efficiencies. For airport operators, partnerships with global FBO brands can offer increased investment capacity and standardized service offerings for international customers.

For Atlantic Aviation, the acquisition strengthens its position in a key leisure and business aviation market, while ExecuJet’s exit signals a strategic realignment of its Caribbean footprint. As private aviation demand continues to evolve, further consolidation and portfolio reshaping among FBO operators is expected across major international gateways.
