Atlas Ocean Voyages is adding two shorter, 7-night Antarctica expeditions to its 2023-2024 expedition season, offering a less time intensive alternative to its other Antarctica expeditions.

The addition comes as the expedition line is offering three different expedition yachts in the region for the first time. The World Voyager is offering the two new departures, which being December 7 and December 19.

The Drake Fly & Sail Expeditions are made possible by a flight past the Drake Passage on either the beginning or the end of the trip, embarking or debarking from Antarctica’s King George Island.

On the December 7th itinerary, travelers will sail one-way from Ushuaia, Argentina to King George Island, with a 1-night pre-hotel stay in Buenos Aires, a one-way private jet charter flight from Buenos Aires to Ushuaia, one-way return air service to Punta Arenas, Chile from King George Island and a 1-night post-hotel stay in Punta Arenas all included at no additional cost.

The holiday expedition, departing December 19, will celebrate the holidays in Antarctica, sailing one-way from King George Island to Ushuaia, Argentina. Travelers will enjoy an included 1-night pre-hotel stay in Punta Arenas, Chile, a one-way private charter flight to King George Island and a one-way return flight to Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Both itineraries visit destinations like Neko Harbour, Deception Island, Brown Bluff and more. Antarctica trips also include Emergency Medical Evacuation and Return-to-Home travel protection.

The expedition line also offers longer 14-night expeditions that includes visits to South Georgia, the South Sandwich Islands or the Falkland Islands.

New reservations booked through September 30, 2023 can enjoy a promotional Air Credit saving with the line’s SOAR. EXPLORE. SAVE. promotion, which provides discounts of up to $5,000 per suite and $3,500 per stateroom to those who book participating expeditions sailing during November 2023 and after.
