Atriis to Acquire Offer-Producing Technology reTravel.io
Travel booking platform Atriis has signed an agreement to acquire retention marketing technology reTravel.io, with plans to fully integrate the technology into its platform, making it available for all customers, the companies announced. Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
Israel-based reTravel has autonomous technology that queries suppliers and pulls availability and pricing in real time. Through machine learning, it can sort and predict which products and services are most relevant to a particular traveler at a particular moment.
Through the integration, reTravel will be able to provide offers that comply with a traveler’s policy as well as a flow for the approval process, said reTravel.io CEO and cofounder Revital Kristal.
Atriis, which launched in 2017 and reported 3,000 corporate users and 300,000 total users at the time of BTN’s Essential OBT Guide earlier this year, expects the technology will reduce leakage and enable travel management company users to engage better with their traveler clients.
“As corporate travel rebounds into a chaotic reality where flights are constantly being canceled, call centers having unbearable waiting times and corporates have additional duty of care liabilities to consider, travel program leakage turns into an immense problem,” Atriis cofounder Omri Amsalem said in a statement. “The need for a managed channel approach, putting the traveler first, is the only strategy for high lifetime value.”
With the acquisition, Kristal also will join Atriis as chief product officer, and reTravel.io chief technology officer and cofounder Nir Gurevich will join Atriis as its CTO. Amsalem said reTravel also will remain available as a standalone solution after the acquisition in addition to the integration.
