August 2025 brings a mix of new and returning air services worldwide, with Wizz Air, Qatar Airways, Flyadeal, and AirAsia among the highlights. While the northern summer season is at its peak, carriers are still adding fresh connections.

Wizz Air has launched daily London Gatwick–Medina flights, becoming the first airline to offer a direct link between the UK and Medina. Qatar Airways and Turkish Airlines are resuming flights to Aleppo, Syria, marking a significant step after years of suspended operations. Qatar Airways will operate three weekly flights from August 10, increasing to four in September, while Turkish Airlines returns with three weekly Boeing 737-900 services.

Saudi low-cost carrier Flyadeal is expanding into Pakistan with four new routes from Riyadh and Dammam to Islamabad, Sialkot, Peshawar, and Karachi, operating two to three times weekly. The move more than doubles its Pakistani network since its first entry in February 2025.

In Asia, AirAsia Malaysia is launching daily Kota Kinabalu–Taipei–Fukuoka flights from August 15, strengthening its Northeast Asia presence. India’s IndiGo is adding a New Delhi–Tbilisi route on August 8 as part of its Central Asian expansion.

Other notable launches include Delta’s new Minneapolis–Watertown and Indianapolis–Raleigh/Durham flights, Spirit Airlines’ Newark–Savannah service, and Starlux Airlines’ Taipei–Miyakojima connection. In total, 50 new routes will debut in August, spanning the Middle East, Asia, Europe, the Americas, and Africa, offering travelers expanded options during the peak summer travel season.
