Award-winning, Australian-owned expedition travel company Aurora Expeditions, has released its 2024-2025 Antarctic program packed with 25 voyages ranging from nine to 23 days in duration, visiting the Antarctic Peninsula, Falkland Islands, South Georgia and the Chilean Fjords.

New to this season is the In Shackleton’s Footsteps itinerary, a 20-day epic adventure that retraces the historic voyage of the Endurance, venturing into the Weddell Sea to Elephant Island, the desolate outpost where Shackleton and his men finally made landfall after 497 days at sea. The voyage continues across the Scotia Sea to South Georgia, where Shackleton’s voyage reached its climatic conclusion. It departs from Ushuaia, Argentina sailing March 16-April 4, 2025.

A first for Aurora Expeditions, the adventure travel company will visit the Chilean Fjords, a stunning maze of waterways filled with bird and sea life surrounded by majestic snow-capped mountains. The Fjords are featured in two itineraries: a 14-day fly/sail Antarctic Explorer voyage sailing from March 1-15, 2025 and a 13-day Spirit of Antarctica expedition sailing from March 13-25, 2025.

Photography enthusiasts of all levels will love the immersive 13-day Spirit of Antarctica, which is a dedicated photographic voyage departing Nov. 12, 2024, where travelers will learn photography secrets, tips and tricks through informative lectures and off-ship exploring from professional photographers on board.

“We just completed a hugely successful 2022-2023 Antarctic season and our 2023-2024 Antarctic season is already selling well with several departures almost at capacity,” said Lisa Bertini, Vice President of Sales North America of Aurora Expeditions. “Our 24/25 Antarctic season is looking like our most adventurous yet.”

“I am beyond thrilled to release our most comprehensive Antarctica program for 2024-2025, and the season is packed full of adventure and exploration with a variety of ways for travelers to truly explore Antarctica,” said Hayley Peacock-Gower, Chief Marketing Officer of Aurora Expeditions. “We have pioneered purpose-driven exploration for more than 32 years and this season combines a unique mix of itineraries – returning favorites, new itineraries and a collection of specially themed expeditions. We aim to open travelers up to exploration and push the boundaries of adventure while deepening connections to the natural world through our off-ship multiple daily excursions, our extensive range of activities and participative Citizen Science projects, all under the guidance of our highly acclaimed and experienced Expedition Team.”

Launching along with the new Antarctic program will be an exclusive early bird offer* with savings of up to 25 percent. For travelers short on time and wishing to capitalize their time on the Antarctic Peninsula or wishing to limit their exposure to the infamous Drake Passage, Aurora is offering eight fly/sail or sail/fly combinations during the height of the Antarctic summer, January-February 2025.
