Aurora Expeditions is implementing a new maximum passenger limit for its polar expedition cruises, capping the number of guests at 130. This change reflects the company’s dedication to preserving the pristine environments of the Arctic and Antarctica.

As a certified B Corp, Aurora Expeditions aims to uphold its commitment to sustainable and responsible travel. The new passenger limits will apply across its fleet, including the Greg Mortimer, Sylvia Earle, and the soon-to-be-launched Douglas Mawson.

Michael Heath, CEO of Aurora Expeditions, stated, “With landing limits in Antarctica and certain Arctic areas, we want to enhance our small-ship experience by offering more off-ship time and immersive activities. This adjustment reinforces our position as a leading provider of intimate polar expeditions.”

The company’s 2024-25 season will run from October 2024 to early April 2025. Travelers booking during the “Small Ships, Big Adventures” sale, running through September 30, 2024, can enjoy up to 20 percent off select itineraries. Additionally, they will receive an air credit of $2,000 for Antarctica sailings or $1,500 for Arctic sailings.

Heath adds, “We are proud to offer one of the most intimate polar experiences available with fewer than 150 passengers. Our commitment to responsible travel and sustainable practices remains central to our mission.”

Aurora Expeditions continues to lead the way in environmentally conscious and immersive polar travel experiences.
