Australia’s Maroomba Airlines Under New Ownership, Enhances Team

Maroomba Airlines, a charter airline and fly-in-fly-out operator based at Perth International, has announced a significant change in ownership. According to a recent update on the carrier’s LinkedIn page, ownership has transitioned to two couples who bring a diverse set of skills to the table, enhancing the company’s engineering, operations, customer experience, and stakeholder engagement.
The new owners, Phillip Garcia, Stephanie Garcia, Michael Evans, and Katrina Evans, have acquired shares in the company, effectively taking immediate control. The share distribution includes Phillip and Stephanie Garcia holding a joint third, BMA Holdings (W.A.) Pty Ltd, and Evans Airborne Pty Ltd, each also owning a third of the airline. Michael Evans and Katrina Evans jointly manage Evans Airborne, while BMA Holdings is under the joint ownership of Michael Ardagh, a former Cathay Pacific pilot who purchased Maroomba Airlines in 2018. The airline’s board of directors now includes Phillip Garcia, Michael Evans, and Michael Ardagh.
Maroomba Airlines operates a fleet consisting of one DHC-8-100, one DHC-8-300, and two DHC-8-Q300s, according to ch-aviation fleets data. These aircraft are primarily used for ad-hoc and contract charters, serving routes between Perth and several locations including Golden Grove, Southern Cross, Forrestania, Dalgaranga Gold Mine, Geraldton, and Norseman in Western Australia.
This new leadership is poised to steer Maroomba Airlines toward further growth and development, capitalizing on their combined expertise to bolster the airline’s service offerings and operational efficiency.
