Austrian Airlines has launched a private check-in service at Vienna International Airport (VIE) for travelers looking for an exclusive start to their journey. Available to Austrian Airlines, Lufthansa, and SWISS passengers, the service can be booked for €99 (about $107) and includes a 30-minute personalized check-in experience. Reservations must be made through an online form at least eight days before departure, and availability is limited.

Initially reserved for corporate clients, the private check-in counter has now opened to all passengers due to growing demand among group travelers, according to Austrian Airlines. “This service expansion allows private individuals to enjoy a tailored check-in experience, available directly through austrian.com,” the airline stated. The dedicated counter provides boarding pass issuance and baggage check-in assistance, with the added option to customize the check-in screen with a personal message or logo, ideal for special occasions like honeymoons or family gatherings.

Payment is required at check-in, and travelers will still be charged if they miss their time slot due to late arrival. Austrian Airlines’ service offers a new level of convenience at a price, joining other premium options designed to elevate the airport experience.

Similar services are also available at select U.S. airports through PS, a private terminal with dedicated TSA checkpoints, a lounge, and even direct transport to the aircraft, available for $1,000 per person. Austrian Airlines’ latest offering provides travelers a taste of this luxury at a more accessible price point.
