Avcon Jet Deregisters Final G650 from Austrian Fleet

Avcon Jet (AOJ), based in Vienna, has officially deregistered the last of its three Gulfstream G650 aircraft operating under the company’s Austrian Air Operator’s Certificate (AOC), according to recent findings from ch-aviation research. This move marks the end of Avcon Jet’s operations with the G650 model within its Austrian-registered fleet.

The aircraft in question, OE-LIV (msn 6006), is a 15.7-year-old Gulfstream G650 that has been stored at Abu Dhabi Bateen since 2022. Its final flight for Avcon Jet took place on March 2, departing from Moscow Sheremetyevo Airport. Notably, OE-LIV was the first Gulfstream G650 delivered to an international customer by Gulfstream Aerospace in 2013. Initially registered as M-YGVI, the aircraft was operated by Finland’s Airfix Aviation before joining Avcon Jet’s fleet in 2021. As of now, the future plans for OE-LIV remain uncertain.

With the deregistration of OE-LIV, Avcon Jet no longer operates any Gulfstream G650 aircraft under its Austrian AOC. However, the company continues to maintain a diverse fleet of other Gulfstream models. Avcon Jet’s Austrian-registered fleet currently includes a Gulfstream G200, one Gulfstream GVII-G500, and four Gulfstream G550s. Additionally, the company operates a G550 registered in the Isle of Man and a GVII-G500 registered in Czechia.

While Avcon Jet Austria has phased out the G650 from its operations, the Gulfstream G650 remains active within the broader Avcon Jet group. Under the Avcon Jet Malta certificate, the company manages two G650s and a G650ER, ensuring that the high-performance capabilities of the G650 series continue to support Avcon Jet’s global operations.
