Avelo Airlines, a low-fare carrier that started operations in April 2021, has announced exclusive nonstop service between Central Wisconsin Airport (CWA) in Mosinee and Orlando International Airport (MCO) in Florida. The new service will begin on October 5, 2023, and will operate twice a week on Thursdays and Sundays. Avelo will use Boeing Next-Generation (NG) 737 aircraft for the route, which will take about three hours.

The airline is offering introductory one-way fares starting at $49, which must be booked by July 29 and travel must be completed by January 8, 2024. Additional fees for carry-on and checked bags, assigned seats and other optional services may apply. Customers can make reservations at AveloAir.com.

Avelo Airlines Chairman and CEO Andrew Levy said that the new service will provide more convenience and affordability for travelers from Central Wisconsin to Orlando, the Theme Park Capital of the World. He also said that Avelo’s combination of low fares, industry-leading reliability and friendly service will inspire people to enjoy all Orlando has to offer.

The new service was welcomed by local officials and business leaders, who said that it will create opportunities for business and recreational travel and make Central Wisconsin an even more attractive place to live, work and grow. They also said that the new service will result in new and diversified economic impacts for the local communities.

Avelo Airlines is based in Houston, Texas, and operates flights to more than 20 destinations across 25 states. It is the first new mainline airline in the US in nearly 15 years. It aims to offer a simple and smooth travel experience with no change or cancellation fees, no call center fees and no seat selection fees.
