BAA Training has entered into a landmark five-year agreement with Qatar Airways Group to provide Multi-Crew Pilot License (MPL) training for up to 150 cadets annually, starting in April 2025. The partnership, which aligns with Qatar Airways’ commitment to maintaining the highest aviation standards, will see BAA Training deliver a comprehensive training program designed to equip cadets with the technical and operational competencies necessary for a career as First Officers with Qatar Airways.

Marijus Ravoitis, CEO of BAA Training, expressed the significance of the agreement, stating, “This partnership marks a defining milestone for BAA Training. With our expertise in MPL training and our integrated, all-inclusive solution, we are committed to delivering exceptional results at scale. Qatar Airways Group’s trust in us paves the way for a long-term, strong collaboration.”

The MPL training program is designed to provide a tailored, competency-based curriculum to ensure cadets develop both technical and operational skills required for safe and efficient flying. The training pathway includes theoretical instruction, single-engine flight training, multi-engine practice using FNPT II devices, and Type Rating on A320 full flight simulators and FTD Level 2 devices.

Clifford Chetcuti, Chief Flight Operations Officer at Qatar Airways, emphasized the importance of the training partnership, saying, “Flight training is the first step to navigating the skies, and this collaboration will be a key element in the development of our pilots. Our investment in training will ensure that our cadets graduate with the competencies needed for proficient and secure flight operations.”

Upon completion of the program, graduates will be fully qualified to step directly into First Officer roles with Qatar Airways, entering the airline’s flight deck with industry-leading training and career opportunities. Training will take place at BAA Training’s state-of-the-art facilities in Lithuania and Spain, offering an all-inclusive service package that covers accommodation and catering for a seamless training experience.

This agreement not only enhances BAA Training’s global reputation but also reflects both organizations’ commitment to meeting the increasing demand for highly skilled flight crews. The program strengthens Qatar Airways’ dedication to investing in its pilot workforce while providing BAA Training with a prestigious and long-term partnership.
