Bangladesh’s Hello Airlines adds first ATR72 freighter
Hello Airlines (Bangladesh) (Dhaka) took delivery of its first ATR72-200(F) which will be operated under a new brand, NXT Air (Dhaka).
On dry lease from ACIA Aero, ZS-XCM (msn 395) was ferried to Dhaka on June 12, 2021, in an all-white livery. The 27.3-year-old Avions de Transport Régional turboprop was originally delivered to ASA – Atlantic Southeast Airlines (EV, Atlanta Hartsfield Jackson) and was recently operated by Solenta Aviation (SET, Lanseria) since 2017, the ch-aviation fleets history module shows. It has yet to be deployed into revenue service, while its forthcoming Bangladeshi registration remains unknown.
“This is a time for air operators to explore new revenue opportunities and we see a positive long-term partnership with ACIA to deliver on these opportunities. The addition of this ATR 72 freighter will further support our business growth and those of our partners,” NXT Air Chief Executive Nizam Ahmad said.
Hello Airlines currently operates a single ATR42-300(F). The carrier did not respond to ch-aviation’s query on whether NXT Air is only a commercial brand or a standalone company.
