Bangladesh’s NXT Air secures NOC, adds first aircraft
NXT Air (Dhaka) has taken delivery of its maiden aircraft after being granted its No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh (CAAB) on December 17.
ATR72-200(F) S2-AJQ (msn 395) was ferried to the start-up’s Cox’s Bazar base on December 21, the start-up said in a statement to the Bangladeshi press.
NXT Air plans to operate international cargo flights using a fleet that will include a second ATR72 and a B737-800 freighter.
Other airlines active in Bangladesh’s cargo market include Bismillah Airlines, Easy Fly Express, Hello Airlines (Bangladesh) (NXT’s parent), SkyAir, South Asian Airlines, and True Aviation BD.
