Bankruptcy ushers out guests of San Jose, Calif., hotel

The San Jose, Calif., Fairmont hotel closed without warning Friday after a Chapter 11 bankruptcy filing, but a spokesman voiced hope for reopening with a new “management partner” within three months. Members of the Vegas Golden Knights professional hockey team were among guests sent packing, but with hotel stays elsewhere paid for by the Fairmont.
