The esteemed Banyan Tree Group, as it marks its 30th year in the hospitality industry, has announced a significant rebranding as the Banyan Group. This milestone year is set to be further distinguished by the debut of 19 new properties across the globe.

In a strategic move symbolizing its growth and diversification, the Singapore-based company is venturing into new territories with its first-ever properties in Japan and Cambodia. Additionally, the group is introducing the pioneering Banyan Tree Veya Valle de Guadalupe in Mexico, a testament to their expanding footprint in the Americas.

The Banyan Group’s expansion doesn’t stop there. It’s enhancing its multi-brand presence with the introduction of additional brands in Vietnam, including the Angsana Quan Lan in the picturesque Halong Bay and the Garrya Mu Chang Chai. In South Korea, the group is broadening its portfolio with new Cassia and Homm Sokcho properties. The expansion plan also includes launching new properties in China and Thailand, further cementing the Group’s presence in Asia.

Amidst these developments, Eddy See, the President and CEO of Banyan Group, reflects on the significance of this transformation. “As we celebrate the Group’s 30th anniversary and its evolution into Banyan Group, this milestone is not only testament to the Group’s enduring success in the hospitality industry but also sets the stage for an exciting future,” he remarked. This brand evolution mirrors the Group’s journey from a single luxury brand to a diverse and rich portfolio that it boasts today.

The Banyan Group’s outlook for 2024 is exceptionally optimistic, buoyed by a strong performance in the previous year. The Group reported a remarkable 44% increase in revenue per available room in the first three quarters of 2023 compared to the same period in 2022.

In a commitment to sustainable growth, Banyan Group is developing a sustainability blueprint aligned with the United Nations Climate Science-based Targets initiative. Ren Yung Ho, Senior Vice President of Brand & Commercial, emphasized the importance of this initiative: “As Banyan Group celebrates our collective success over the last 30 years, we also recognize that the progress can’t stop here. The core beliefs and values that have guided Banyan Group to this milestone will continue to underpin our growth strategy as we remain dedicated to being a force for positive change for both people and the planet.”

Currently, Banyan Group manages an impressive portfolio of 12 global brands, 75 hotels and resorts, over 60 spas and galleries, and 14 branded residences across 22 countries, a clear indication of its significant global footprint in the hospitality industry.
