BCD, Amadeus Expand Partnership with Agreement Renewal
BCD Travel has renewed and expanded its agreement with Amadeus with a new deal the travel management company said will help it expand to more markets and widen its content options.
The companies plan to “partner on multiple initiatives” under the new agreement, including BCD incorporating Amadeus’ New Distribution Capability content and end-to-end workflow capabilities, according to the companies. BCD will use Amadeus’ technology, content and expertise to support operations in additional markets, and Amadeus will increase business with BCD, particularly in the United Kingdom, Ireland and North America.
The agreement “allows us to engage on deeper technology collaboration” and “will provide our corporate clients with more content options, including bringing NDC to life at scale, while streamlining and simplifying our distribution technology footprint and infrastructure,” BCD Travel president and CEO John Snyder said in a statement.
BCD last year announced it was moving to a new “dual global distribution strategy,” ending its distribution relationship with Travelport and focusing on Sabre and Amadeus. For Amadeus, it is the second renewal with a mega TMC in recent weeks, following last week’s announcement of its renewal with American Express Global Business Travel.
