Belgium’s Air Antwerp delays restart
Air Antwerp (WP, Antwerp) said that it plans to relaunch scheduled flights between Antwerp and London City, its only route, on September 14, 2020, two weeks later than previously hoped for. “As from this date, Air Antwerp will operate two return flights on weekdays (in the morning and in the evening) and one on Sunday evening. Please note that Air Antwerp cannot guarantee that this proposed flight schedule will be maintained and that further changes can occur at any time,” the airline said. Prior to the grounding, Air Antwerp had operated the route up to 3x daily during weekdays. The airline has been dormant since March 20 with its sole aircraft, Fokker 50 OO-VLS (msn 20109), parked at Antwerp airport. The aircraft’s only activity was a ferry flight to Malmö for maintenance on June 22 and a return to Antwerp on July 3, Flightradar24 ADS-B data shows.
