Belgium’s ASL Group Cleared for US Private Jet Operations
Belgium’s ASL Group Private Jet Services has received approval from the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) to operate transatlantic flights between the European Union and the United States. The business aviation company, officially known as Air Service Liege N.V. (BNJ, Liège), secured an exemption and a tentative foreign air carrier permit, expanding its international reach.
The permit allows ASL Group to operate aircraft with a capacity of up to 60 passengers and a maximum payload of 8,100 kilograms. This authorization enables the company to transport passengers, cargo, and mail between Europe and the U.S., enhancing its global private aviation services.
ASL Group applied for U.S. market entry in early 2025 as part of its strategic expansion plan. The company specializes in private jet charters, aircraft management, and fractional ownership, catering to high-net-worth individuals, corporate executives, and VIP travelers.
