BellAir Rebrands as Jet Excellence After RWA Acquisition

BellAir, based in North Carolina, has rebranded as Jet Excellence following its acquisition of Red Wing Aviation (RWA), one of four Part 135-certified operators previously trading under Vista America. According to Jet Excellence’s website, the deal includes a fleet of Citation X aircraft, though the exact number has not been disclosed.

As of July, RWA’s Part 135 certificate listed nineteen Citation X jets, all formerly operated by XOJET Aviation under Vista America. These aircraft had been stored at Red Wing since mid-2024 but began returning to service in August, with eleven already conducting test flights.

Prior to the acquisition, Jet Excellence operated six Citation X jets under JEM Air Holdings’ Part 135 certificate. These included four ex-Wheels Up aircraft previously on Mountain Aviation’s charter certificate, one ex-Ultimate Jet Citation X, and one from Executive Jet Management. Jet Excellence has also added two more ex-Wheels Up Citation X aircraft, with one already active under its TCN code.

Jet Excellence’s July certificate additionally covered a Citation Encore, a Citation Excel, a Hawker 800XP, three Hawker 800XPis, and a King Air B300. It remains unclear whether the certificates of JEM Air Holdings and RWA will be merged or kept separate.

Meanwhile, Vista America has reorganized its operations, shifting most of its aircraft to JetSelect Aviation and Jet Edge, while putting XOJET’s Part 135 certificate up for sale. This latest acquisition positions Jet Excellence as a growing player in the premium charter market with an expanded fleet of Citation X jets.
