BermudAir, a startup airline based in Bermuda, has extended its U.S. route network with flights to Fort Lauderdale–Hollywood International Airport (FLL) commencing on September 10, 2023. The airline operates two weekly flights on this route, departing on Wednesdays and Saturdays, utilizing its Airbus A330-200 aircraft. This marks the third U.S. destination for the airline, following the launch of flights to Boston Logan International Airport (BOS) and Westchester County Airport (HPN) in late August.

BermudAir distinguishes itself by offering a premium and exclusive travel experience for passengers flying between Bermuda and the U.S. East Coast. The airline’s offerings include an all-business class cabin, complimentary Wi-Fi, and complimentary food and drinks. Furthermore, BermudAir has plans to reconfigure its aircraft with a unique 1-1 seating layout, featuring 30 flat-bed seats, by November 1, 2023.

Notably, BermudAir holds the distinction of being the first locally established airline in Bermuda’s history. It secured its air operator certificate from the Bermuda Civil Aviation Authority and the U.S. Department of Transportation in July and August 2023, respectively. The airline is under the leadership of founder and CEO Adam Scott, a former pilot and entrepreneur who personally invested $50 million in the venture.

BermudAir’s expansion signifies its commitment to enhancing travel connectivity between Bermuda and key U.S. markets, further solidifying its presence in the competitive airline industry.
