BermudAir (2T, Bermuda) is considering acquiring larger aircraft to support potential transatlantic expansion, according to CEO Adam Scott.

Speaking with Aerospace Global News, Scott said the airline is actively reviewing fleet development options. “We are always seeking ways to upgrade, enhance and improve our product. We are actively looking at larger aircraft with a desire to fly transatlantic in the future,” he said, though he did not specify aircraft types or timelines.

According to ch-aviation data, BermudAir currently operates a fleet of two E175s and two E190s.

Scott also confirmed that BermudAir’s new subsidiary, AnguillAir, is expected to begin operations in mid-December. The carrier will launch flights from Anguilla to New York Newark on December 18, followed by routes to Boston and Baltimore International on December 19, using BermudAir’s E190s.

AnguillAir will help the parent airline manage seasonality by scaling down capacity during the winter low season.
