Bolt Launches Flight Tracking Feature for Airport Ride Pickups

Bolt has introduced a new flight tracking feature designed to simplify airport pickups for travelers. The mobility app now allows users to link their flight information when booking a ride, enabling automatic adjustments to the pickup time based on real-time flight status.

“When scheduling your ride from the airport, simply link your flight, and we’ll automatically adjust your pickup time, so your Bolt is ready to go when you land—at no additional cost,” the company said in a statement. If a flight is canceled, the corresponding ride will be canceled free of charge.

The feature aims to reduce travel stress by removing the need to manually adjust ride schedules due to flight delays or early arrivals. Users can also customize their pickup timing based on personal preferences, such as additional time needed for baggage claim or customs clearance.

Bolt’s flight tracking feature currently supports 30 airports, with plans to expand across the more than 100 airports the company serves globally. The update complements Bolt’s broader efforts to enhance its travel experience, including this week’s acquisition of Danish electric ride-hailing service Viggo.

Travelers can also pre-book rides to the airport up to 90 days in advance, offering additional flexibility for planners. The move follows similar efforts by competitors—Uber launched a flight tracking feature in 2021 through its Uber Reserve service.

With this new feature, Bolt continues to expand its user-focused services, streamlining the airport transfer process and enhancing convenience for frequent flyers and leisure travelers alike.
