Bombardier has reached a significant milestone by delivering its 200th Global 7500 private jet, just six years after the ultra-long-range aircraft first entered service in December 2018. Renowned in the business aviation sector for its exceptional performance, the Global 7500 has amassed over 200,000 flying hours and established itself as a record-breaking marvel among executive jets.

The landmark delivery was announced during the MEBAA Show 2024 at Al Maktoum International Airport (DWC) in Dubai, a premier event that attracts the world’s leading figures in business aviation. This achievement underscores Bombardier’s commitment to excellence in manufacturing and technological innovation within the industry.

David Murray, Executive Vice President of Manufacturing, IT, and Bombardier Operational Excellence System, expressed his pride in the accomplishment. “Simply put, the Global 7500 aircraft is assembled with the best manufacturing process and technological advancements in business aviation – and we are so excited and honoured to reach the 200-delivery mark of this transformative aircraft,” Murray stated. He further praised the dedicated engineering, production, and assembly teams whose meticulous efforts have been pivotal to the program’s success.

Since its inception, the Bombardier Global 7500 has shattered over 75 speed records, demonstrating its superior capability in long-distance and high-speed travel. In November 2024, the aircraft achieved multiple new records on routes including Miami to São Paulo, Tokyo to Los Angeles, Tokyo to San Jose, and Jeddah to London. Notably, a flight from Los Angeles to Auckland was completed in just 11 hours and 55 minutes, a Tokyo-Hong Kong flight in three hours and 40 minutes, and a New Delhi to Tokyo journey in seven hours. These feats build on the earlier record of an 8,225 nautical mile flight from Sydney to Detroit in October 2019—the longest flight ever recorded in business aviation.

Jean-Christophe Gallagher, Executive Vice President of Aircraft Sales and Bombardier Defense, highlighted the aircraft’s impact on the industry. “Bombardier’s Global 7500 business jet customers recognize and appreciate the many benefits this aircraft provides – and it continues to rewrite the history books with unprecedented speed records and long-distance flights,” Gallagher remarked.

Looking ahead, Bombardier is actively constructing the Global 8000, expected to enter service in 2025. This new model will boast an impressive range of 8,000 nautical miles and a top speed of Mach 0.94, positioning it as the fastest executive jet in the world. The Global 8000’s development is progressing smoothly across Bombardier’s facilities in Canada, the United States, and Mexico, reinforcing the company’s dedication to advancing business aviation.

At MEBAA 2024, Bombardier, in collaboration with private jet operator VistaJet, showcased the Global 7500s, attracting significant interest from industry leaders and potential clients. The event served as a testament to the aircraft’s enduring popularity and Bombardier’s ongoing innovation in the executive jet market.

The delivery of the 200th Global 7500 not only marks a pivotal moment for Bombardier but also reinforces the aircraft’s reputation as a leader in business aviation. With its unmatched range, speed, and luxury, the Global 7500 continues to set new standards, offering unparalleled comfort and efficiency for discerning travelers worldwide.

As Bombardier celebrates this milestone, the company remains focused on delivering cutting-edge aircraft that meet the evolving needs of the global business aviation community. The success of the Global 7500 and the upcoming Global 8000 highlight Bombardier’s unwavering commitment to excellence and innovation in the private jet industry.
