Bounce Acquires Nannybag to Expand EU Network

Luggage storage marketplace Bounce has acquired European competitor Nannybag for an undisclosed sum, strengthening its footprint across key travel destinations in Europe.
The U.S.-based company said the deal advances its strategy of offering travelers greater flexibility by expanding its partner network and geographic coverage, particularly in France and Italy. The acquisition significantly deepens Bounce’s presence in major gateway cities such as Paris and Rome, while adding established retail and logistics partners including Carrefour France and Fermopoint.
Founded to address a common traveler pain point—what to do with bags before check-in or after checkout—Bounce operates a global network of local businesses that provide short-term luggage storage. By integrating Nannybag’s network, the company aims to increase density in high-traffic European markets and deliver more convenient storage options near transport hubs, city centers and tourist attractions.
Nannybag will continue operating under its existing brand while leveraging Bounce’s technology infrastructure, operational scale and global partnerships.
“We are excited to welcome Nannybag to Bounce,” said Cody Candee, CEO of Bounce. “Nannybag is a trusted European brand, and together we will offer travelers a more seamless global luggage storage experience with expanded coverage, more partners and greater convenience in the cities they visit most.”
Matthieu Ballester, co-founder of Nannybag, said the combination will accelerate growth and create new opportunities for local businesses participating in the platform. “Joining Bounce gives Nannybag the scale to reach more people while creating more opportunities for our local partners. We’re excited to grow together and bring luggage storage access to even more destinations,” he said.
The transaction follows Bounce’s $19 million Series B funding round in late 2024, which came after a $12 million Series A raise in 2022. The additional capital has supported international expansion and product development as the company competes in the fast-growing travel services segment.
As global travel demand continues to rebound and urban tourism intensifies, on-demand luggage storage platforms are positioning themselves as essential infrastructure, enabling travelers to move more freely and make better use of their time in destination cities.
