Boutique hotel in Mexico returns guests to 1693 in style

An American-born designer has transformed a 17th-century house in Guanajuato, Mexico, into a luxury boutique hotel with three distinctive suites and all furnishings and artifacts available for purchase. “I fell in love with the people and how beautiful it is,” says Laura Kirar, owner of Meson Hidalgo in San Miguel de Allende.
