Breeze Airways is expanding its network with four new routes to popular Florida leisure destinations for the upcoming winter season. The U.S. carrier continues to focus on underserved markets, offering flights where no other airline is operating. This expansion includes three new routes to Orlando International Airport (MCO) and one to Tampa International Airport (TPA), providing more travel options to passengers.

Starting December 21, 2024, Breeze will launch service from its base in Provo, Utah to Orlando, operating three times weekly year-round. This new route will give passengers in Utah a direct option for traveling to Florida’s popular tourist attractions and warm beaches during the winter months.

Beginning February 6, 2025, Breeze will introduce a twice-weekly year-round service connecting Orlando with Gulfport-Biloxi, Mississippi. This route will provide new opportunities for leisure and business travelers alike, as Gulfport-Biloxi offers casinos, beaches, and cultural attractions along the Gulf Coast.

On February 13, 2025, Breeze will begin flights between Orlando and Ogdensburg, New York. This route will operate on a twice-weekly seasonal basis during the winter and spring, providing residents of Ogdensburg a direct connection to the warm climate of Florida.

Additionally, Breeze recently launched a U.S. government-subsidized Essential Air Service (EAS) route from Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD) to Ogdensburg, marking the airline’s entry into the Washington, D.C. market with daily flights. This subsidized service is designed to provide critical air service to smaller communities.

The fourth new route in Breeze’s winter schedule will connect Tampa International Airport with Erie, Pennsylvania, offering twice-weekly seasonal service starting in February 2025. This route will provide a convenient escape for residents of Pennsylvania during the cold winter months, as well as access to Tampa’s vibrant culture and beautiful Gulf Coast beaches.

“We’re connecting the dots between some of our existing cities with these exciting new routes, all of them previously unserved,” said David Neeleman, CEO of Breeze Airways. “These routes will be valuable during the cold winter months, giving travelers more warm-weather options.”

More than 80% of Breeze’s routes are noncompetitive, and the airline continues to expand its footprint across the U.S. Breeze Airways now operates over 200 routes serving more than 60 airports across the country.

Breeze will operate these new Florida routes using its Airbus A220-300 aircraft. The airline is set to have 32 A220-300s in its fleet by the end of 2024, with plans to grow its fleet to 90 A220-300s by 2028. These aircraft are configured with 137 seats, including 12 premium seats featuring a 39-inch pitch, offering passengers more comfort and flexibility.

Since launching in May 2021, Breeze Airways has seen remarkable growth, with 2024 revenue showing “tremendous” increases, according to Lukas Johnson, Breeze’s Chief Commercial Officer.
