Breeze Airways Expands Network: 3 New Airports, 11 Additional Routes Announced
Breeze Airways, a burgeoning U.S. airline, is set to significantly enhance its route network this summer by introducing three new destinations, including a key addition at Denver International Airport (DEN). This expansion encompasses 11 new routes, marking a strategic growth in the carrier’s operations.
Commencing on May 16, Breeze Airways will inaugurate seasonal service connecting DEN with Providence, Rhode Island’s T. F. Green International Airport (PVD). Initially set at a frequency of twice weekly, this service is scheduled to increase to four times a week starting June 15.
A notable aspect of this expansion is that all of Breeze’s 11 new routes will be operated using the Airbus A220-300 aircraft, a modern and efficient choice for these routes.
Mobile, Alabama, is another addition to Breeze’s growing network. Starting April 10, the airline will offer year-round service to Florida’s Orlando International Airport (MCO), operating twice weekly.
Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport (GSP) in South Carolina is receiving the most attention in this expansion. From May 24, Breeze will commence services from GSP to Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) and MCO, both operating on a summer seasonal, twice-weekly schedule. The same day will also see the launch of bi-weekly seasonal flights between GSP and Bradley International Airport (BDL) in Hartford, Connecticut.
Additional routes include twice-weekly seasonal flights between GSP and PVD starting May 3, and between GSP and Tampa International Airport (TPA) from May 10.
GSP CEO Dave Edwards highlighted the significance of these new routes, emphasizing the increasing attraction of the Carolinas for residents of the U.S. Northeast and West Coast. He anticipates these flights will spur further investment in the region’s business and tourism sectors.
In May, Breeze will further expand its reach by introducing four more routes within its existing market. This includes seasonal service between BDL and Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, starting May 2, and between TPA and Orange County, California, beginning May 31.
Two additional routes from LAX are also part of this expansion. Starting May 22, Breeze will launch seasonal flights to Madison, Wisconsin, and from May 23, to Akron-Canton, Ohio, enhancing its connection with key markets.
Founded by David Neeleman, Breeze Airways has shown remarkable growth since its launch in May 2021, starting with 16 airports and now approaching 50 destinations. Neeleman expressed excitement over the new additions, underscoring Breeze’s commitment to providing efficient, affordable, and quality service to underserved markets.
