British Airways (BA, London Heathrow) will reduce the frequency of its flights to Johannesburg O.R. Tambo as of June 1, 2019, and instead add more flights to Mumbai Int’l to capitalise on the market gap left by the collapse of Jet Airways (9W, Mumbai Int’l), The Independent has reported.

The British flag carrier will terminate its 4x weekly BA50/51 service between London Heathrow and the South African gateway with the last flight scheduled for June 1. It will continue to operate to Johannesburg 14x weekly.
