BTP, Thrust Carbon Partner on Hotel Sustainability Index

Hotel sourcing solution Business Travel Performance Automation has launched a technology platform in partnership with sustainability tech firm Thrust Carbon, to “address sustainability in the hotel sourcing process,” the companies jointly announced.

BTP Automation through the platform, dubbed the BTP Green Care Index, will deliver “pre-trip, real-time, actionable data through their Intelligent Hotel Sourcing technology with real-time Thrust Carbon key hotel sustainability data and reporting,” according to BTP.

“We think this will further create impetus for hotels to lower their footprint to ensure they score higher on BTP Automation’s system, creating a flywheel of sustainability,” Thrust Carbon founder and director Kit Brennan said in a statement.

Thrust Carbon partnered with several other travel and meetings data platforms, including Deem, Rocketrip,Troop and Travelogix to provide emissions data.
