Canada’s Flair Airlines (F8, Kelowna) launches its first seasonal international flights – to six cities in the United States – in October 2021 as the carrier continues its ambitious fleet and route network expansion drive.

For the winter season between October 31, 2021, and March 26, 2022, Flair Airlines will operate non-stop from eight Canadian cities to six US sun destinations: Fort Lauderdale Int’l, Orlando Sanford, Phoenix Williams Gateway, Burbank, Palm Springs Int’l, and Las Vegas McCarran, the airline announced in a statement.

Flights will operate from the following Canadian cities:

  • to Fort Lauderdale from Toronto Pearson, Kitchener, Ottawa Int’l, and Montréal Trudeau;
  • to Orlando-Sanford from Toronto, Kitchener-Waterloo, Ottawa Int’l, Montreal, and Halifax;
  • to Phoenix-Mesa from Toronto, Vancouver Int’l, and Calgary;
  • to Hollywood-Burbank from Toronto, Vancouver, and Calgary;
  • to Palm Springs from Vancouver; and
  • to Las Vegas from Toronto, Ottawa, Vancouver, Abbotsford, and Calgary.

The airline said the new US services are amongst several new destinations it is adding to its network as the airline rapidly grows to serve 26 destinations in Canada and the US.

Flair’s expansion forms part of its “Vision F50” strategy to be a market disrupter by expanding its fleet to 50 aircraft in five years. By August 1, the airline expects to have taken delivery of the first eight of thirteen B737-8s being leased from minority US shareholder 777 Partners. The next batch of deliveries will start in December through to Spring 2022.

As reported, Flair will have to defend the aircraft order as it has become the subject of a court case filed by majority shareholder Prescott Strategic Investments LP in the British Columbia Supreme Court last month, alleging it was not consulted in the decision.
