Canada’s R1 Airlines retires only Challenger 800
R1 Airlines (TSH, Calgary) retired its only Challenger 800 (CRJ200) regional jet in September 2020, ch-aviation research has revealed. C-GEXM (msn 7187), a 23.5-year-old aircraft owned by R1 Airlines’ parent company Avmax Aircraft Leasing, was deregistered on September 14, 2020, according to the Transport Canada registry. It remains stored at Calgary and has not been transferred to any other operator. A passenger charter specialist, R1 continues to operate one CRJ700 Srs 701, one Dash 8-300, and one Dash 8-100. Formerly known as Regional 1 Airlines (TSH, Calgary), it currently focuses on charter operations on behalf of the resources sector.
