Carnival Adds Baltimore Ship, Expands 2027/28 Sailings

Carnival Cruise Line announced a major expansion of its 2027/28 deployment plans, adding a second ship in Baltimore, unveiling new Caribbean itineraries, and confirming updated homeport plans for Carnival Firenze.
Beginning in fall 2027, Carnival Miracle will join Carnival Pride in Baltimore, marking the first time the cruise line has homeported two ships in the Maryland city. The move strengthens Carnival’s presence in the Mid-Atlantic and significantly expands cruise options for guests sailing from Baltimore.
Carnival Miracle will operate a mix of seven-, eight- and nine-day cruises to the Bahamas and Eastern Caribbean, along with longer 12- and 14-day sailings to destinations including Dominica, Guadeloupe and St. Maarten. The ship is scheduled to arrive in Baltimore on November 20, 2027, following a 15-day transatlantic voyage from Civitavecchia, Italy, positioning the vessel for its inaugural season from the port.
Carnival Pride will continue its year-round operations from Baltimore, offering seven-day Bahamas itineraries and seven-day Bermuda cruises, as well as extended nine-, 12- and 14-day voyages. The dual-ship deployment is expected to boost passenger capacity and provide more varied cruise durations and destination options for travelers departing the region.
Baltimore has served as a Carnival homeport for more than two decades, and the addition of Carnival Miracle underscores the cruise line’s long-term commitment to the market. The expanded deployment also reflects continued demand for convenient drive-to cruise options along the U.S. East Coast.
In addition to the Baltimore expansion, Carnival Firenze will shift its homeport to Port Canaveral beginning in fall 2027. From Florida, the ship will operate four- to 14-day Caribbean itineraries, broadening Carnival’s offering in one of its most important cruise hubs.
Before relocating, Carnival Firenze’s 2027/28 schedule includes an 11-day Carnival Journeys Southern Caribbean sailing departing Miami on May 16, 2027. After completing that voyage, the ship will reposition to New York City for a seasonal deployment before ultimately moving to Port Canaveral.
With new ships, expanded homeports and a wider range of Caribbean sailings, Carnival Cruise Line’s 2027/28 season signals a strategic push to increase capacity, diversify itineraries and capture growing demand across key U.S. cruise markets.
