Carnival Adds Hawaii Cruises, New Homeports

Carnival Cruise Line has unveiled major updates for its 2027-28 deployment, including new Hawaii sailings and ship repositionings that expand guest options across North America.
For the first time, Carnival will launch a dedicated Hawaii program aboard Carnival Legend. Sailing seasonally from Long Beach between October 2027 and April 2028, the Spirit-class ship will offer 14-day Carnival Journeys cruises to Honolulu, Maui, Kauai, Hilo, and Kona, with an additional stop in Ensenada, Mexico. Ten Hawaii voyages are now open, alongside shorter six- and eight-day Mexican Riviera sailings to Puerto Vallarta, Mazatlán, Cabo San Lucas, La Paz, and Ensenada.
Carnival Freedom will reposition to Norfolk, Virginia, in May 2027 after a special 15-day Southern Caribbean cruise. Once in Norfolk, the Conquest-class ship will debut the most diverse program ever offered from the port, including six-day Bahamas and Bermuda cruises, eight-day Eastern Caribbean sailings, and voyages to Canada with stops in Halifax, Sydney, and Charlottetown.
Meanwhile, Carnival Pride will continue its year-round service from Baltimore, maintaining its strong connection to the region. The Spirit-class ship will offer seven-day Bahamas itineraries, extended Bermuda sailings, and longer Carnival Journeys voyages of up to 14 days, visiting destinations such as Aruba, Curaçao, Barbados, St. Lucia, and Tortola.
According to Carnival President Christine Duffy, the updates highlight the line’s strategy to deliver fresh experiences across its homeports, while strengthening its presence in key markets from the West Coast to the Mid-Atlantic.
