Carnival Venezia

Carnival Cruise Line unveiled new information about what guests can expect when boarding their newest ship joining the fleet, Carnival Venezia, sailing year-round from New York.

During a live virtual tour of the Venezia, President of Carnival Cruise Line Christine Duffy said “Carnival Fun Italian Style is a new take on our recipe for creating memorable Carnival cruises, but certainly, fun will still be at the heart of everything we do on board. Guests will feel right at home on Carnival Venezia, with our friendly team members and many familiar venues and experiences on board, but the addition of several creative new concepts from dining and beverage to entertainment will surely offer some new favorites and further enhance the ship’s Italian theming.”

Guests boarding the ship’s atrium will immediately be surrounded by an Italian architecture design modeled after Venice’s Piazza San Marco. The ship’s theater, Teatro Rosso provides the backdrop for onboard entertainment. Outdoor spaces feature Italian touches and first in-fleet features such as a Lido deck modeled after the Italian Riviera with a retractable roof to ward off New York’s colder months.

Carnival’s staterooms are introducing a new concept with its 77 Terrazza staterooms with private patios that include loungers, hammocks, and direct lanai access to Terrazza Carnevale, an outdoor terraced deck with two whirlpools, a bar, and tranquil lounging space.

In addition, the staterooms include exclusive morning access to Carnevale Lounge with complimentary continental breakfast, Terrazza-branded robes and towels, special brunch on select sea days and an exclusive sail-away live-music event.

Carnival Venezia’s dining venues feature a wide selection of Italian cuisine from burger joints to specialty dining. Bars and lounges, also carrying through the Italian theme will offer Italian-inspired cocktails and interactive drink experiences.

Following its debut on Carnival Celebration, the Venezia will also feature a new show called “Color My World,” an Indie rock and pop love story combining different mediums of art. Other Italian-inspired events will include a Captain’s Venetian Toast, Italian Street Party, and other playlist productions.

Beginning June 15, 2023, Carnival Venezia will offer a wide range of sailing options from New York’s Manhattan Terminal that include 10 different cruise durations, 22 unique itineraries featuring visits to 25 ports across 14 countries. Current sailings for Carnival Venezia are now open for booking.

In 2024, the cruise line will welcome its second “Carnival Fun Italian Style” ship when Carnivale Firenze joins the fleet, sailing year-round from Long Beach, California.
