Carnival Cruise Line has signed on as the official cruise line sponsor of the Leagues Cup, a premier soccer tournament in North America. This partnership marks a new era of engagement between Carnival and the world of professional soccer.

The Leagues Cup features 47 teams from Major League Soccer (MLS) and LIGA MX, competing in 77 matches over a month-long summer tournament. This year’s tournament began on July 26 and will continue through August 25.

Under this multi-year agreement, Carnival Cruise Line will be prominently featured as the official cruise line of the Leagues Cup. The sponsorship includes in-stadium promotions, TV advertisements during live games, and a co-branded online content series across Leagues Cup’s social media platforms.

Amy Martin Ziegenfuss, Chief Marketing Officer at Carnival Cruise Line, commented, “The high-energy atmosphere of professional soccer matches aligns perfectly with the vibrant experience we offer on our ships. We’re excited to connect with soccer fans and enhance their enjoyment both on and off the field.”

Ziegenfuss added, “Partnering with the Leagues Cup allows us to unite our Carnival fans with another passionate sports audience, reinforcing our commitment to sports and entertainment that resonates with our guests.”

This collaboration aims to create exciting new opportunities for Carnival’s guests and soccer enthusiasts alike, amplifying the connection between travel and sports.
