Carnival Cruise Line is excited to reveal fresh details about Celebration Key, its upcoming private destination on Grand Bahama, set to welcome guests in July 2025. This exclusive island retreat will feature five uniquely themed areas, or “portals,” designed to offer a diverse range of experiences to travelers. With access provided via more than 500 itineraries across 18 Carnival ships, Celebration Key is poised to become a must-visit destination for cruise enthusiasts.
Upon arrival at Celebration Key, guests will be greeted at the “Welcome Portal” with live music and impressive sandcastles, setting the tone for an unforgettable island adventure. From there, visitors can explore a variety of attractions including the “Retail Portal” for shopping, the “Family-Friendly Portal” for waterslide fun, the “Adult-Friendly Portal” for some tranquil alone time, and the “Private Club Portal” for a premium experience.
Christine Duffy, President of Carnival Cruise Line, expressed enthusiasm about the project, highlighting the destination’s appeal: “Celebration Key is uniquely positioned to bring an island experience to our diverse range of guests, in a way that lets them choose their slice of ‘paradise.'”
The “Retail Portal” will enchant shoppers with hand-painted murals by Bahamian artists, offering artisanal goods, local retailers, and dining options featuring Bahamian cuisine alongside duty-free shopping opportunities.
For families, the “Family-Friendly Portal” promises a freshwater lagoon, splash pad, waterslides, sports courts, and beach lounging options, complete with food and drink venues to cater to every taste.
Adult guests will enjoy exclusive amenities in the “Adult-Friendly Portal,” such as a freshwater lagoon, a white sand beach with a swim-up bar, DJ entertainment, and luxurious cabana rentals. This area also includes a full-service restaurant and additional dining options.
The “Private Club Portal” offers an adults-only sanctuary with an infinity pool, elevated dining, and private beach access, ensuring an intimate and luxurious experience.
Additionally, Celebration Key will feature an events pavilion for weddings and celebrations, with plans to expand the destination’s offerings in the future to include a zipline course and a waterpark.
