Carnival Cruise Line is boosting its presence in Texas with its largest-ever deployment from Galveston during the 2027-28 season. Four ships—Carnival Horizon, Carnival Spirit, Carnival Breeze, and Carnival Jubilee—will be homeported at the Gulf Coast city, offering everything from quick four-day getaways to extended Carnival Journeys voyages.

For the first time, both Carnival Horizon and Carnival Spirit will sail from Galveston. Horizon begins May 19, 2027, with a special eight-day Western Caribbean itinerary to Montego Bay, Grand Cayman, and Isla Tropicale before switching to four- and five-day Western Caribbean cruises. Over 70 sailings are planned between May 2027 and April 2028.

Carnival Spirit launches October 11, 2027, offering a mix of four-, five-, and six-day Western Caribbean sailings to Cozumel, Progreso, and Belize, plus several 10-day Eastern and Western Caribbean voyages. Highlights include a 16-day Panama Canal Journeys cruise from Seattle to Galveston departing September 25, 2027.

Carnival Breeze will shift to a new seven-day schedule in May 2027, sailing both Western and Eastern Caribbean itineraries. Notable sailings include an eight-day Christmas cruise on December 18, 2027, and two 14-day Journeys voyages in October 2027 and January 2028.

Carnival Jubilee will continue to offer six- and eight-day cruises to the Western Caribbean and the Bahamas, including stops at Celebration Key.

“Galveston is one of our most popular homeports, and this new deployment adds more variety than ever,” said Christine Duffy, president of Carnival Cruise Line. Additional details about the 2027-28 program will be announced in the coming weeks.
