Carnival Opens 2027–28 Sailings With Solar Eclipse Cruise
Carnival Cruise Line has opened bookings for its 2027–28 sailings, featuring new itineraries across Europe and the Caribbean—including a once-in-a-lifetime solar eclipse voyage aboard Carnival Miracle on July 29, 2027.
Departing from Galveston, Texas, Carnival Miracle will kick off her 2027 season with Caribbean sailings before crossing the Atlantic in May to begin a summer of European cruises. The highlight of the season will be an 11-day Carnival Journeys sailing that includes a full day at sea on August 2, 2027, to view the total solar eclipse. The itinerary also features port calls in Portugal, Spain, France, and Belgium.
“While there will be many ways to experience the solar eclipse, seeing it from Carnival Miracle will definitely be the most fun,” said Christine Duffy, president of Carnival Cruise Line. “With our growing and diverse fleet, we’re excited to offer even more variety and adventure to guests throughout our 2027–28 season.”
Beginning in March 2027, Carnival Miracle will homeport in Galveston, joining three other Carnival ships based in Texas. After completing her Caribbean season, she will relocate to Dover in May 2027 to offer eight- to 12-day sailings exploring the British Isles, Northern Europe, Scandinavia, and the Baltics. In September, she will reposition to Civitavecchia (Rome) for a series of Mediterranean cruises visiting the Greek Isles, Turkey, Italy, Croatia, and Montenegro.
Meanwhile, Carnival Paradise will continue sailing from Tampa, offering four- to six-day Caribbean getaways, while Carnival Elation will operate from Jacksonville with four- and five-day Bahamas itineraries.
Carnival’s 2027–28 program showcases the brand’s expanding global reach and commitment to diverse itineraries from multiple U.S. homeports. With the addition of a rare celestial event at sea, the season promises guests an extraordinary blend of adventure, discovery, and unforgettable moments on the open ocean.
