Carnival Opens Bookings for 2027-28 Cruises, Adds New Orleans Ship

Carnival Cruise Line has opened bookings for select 2027-28 itineraries and announced the return of Carnival Dream to New Orleans for the first time since 2019. The 4,600-guest ship will homeport alongside Carnival Liberty, offering expanded cruise options from the Gulf Coast.
Beginning in 2027, Carnival Dream will sail 4- and 5-day voyages to Mexico from New Orleans. Prior to the relocation, the ship will operate two final sailings from Galveston: a 7-day Western Caribbean cruise visiting Belize, Cozumel, and Isla Tropicale, followed by a week-long Bahamas itinerary that includes Celebration Key, Key West, and Nassau.
Carnival Liberty will continue year-round service from New Orleans through April 2028. The ship will offer 7-day itineraries to the Western Caribbean and the Bahamas, with calls at popular ports including Cozumel, Belize, Grand Cayman, Isla Tropicale, and Carnival’s new exclusive destination, Celebration Key. Special holiday cruises over Thanksgiving and Christmas will feature extended 8-day sailings with stops at Celebration Key and RelaxAway at Half Moon Cay.
A highlight of the new deployment is Carnival Liberty‘s 14-day Carnival Journeys sailing through the Panama Canal, departing November 28, 2027. Ports of call include Aruba, Cartagena, Colon, Curaçao, Cozumel, Limon, and Montego Bay.
Carnival Liberty recently completed a major renovation, adding new features such as a WaterWorks aqua park with waterslides and a Heroes Tribute Bar & Lounge.
Carnival Cruise Line will announce additional 2027-28 itineraries and homeport updates for other ships in the coming months.
