Carnival Reveals Celebration Key Ahead of July Opening

Carnival Cruise Line has unveiled new details and images of Celebration Key, its highly anticipated private destination on Grand Bahama, ahead of its July 19, 2025 opening. Designed to offer a dynamic mix of family fun, relaxation, and exclusive luxury, Celebration Key is set to become a highlight on many of Carnival’s Caribbean itineraries.
Guests will be welcomed through the vibrant Celebration Key Sun Portal, a sun-shaped arch perfect for photos, leading to Paradise Plaza, the main orientation point for visitors. At the heart of the destination is the eye-catching Suncastle, a 10-story structure adorned with five giant conch shells and home to dual 350-foot water slides.
Celebration Key features two massive freshwater lagoons: family-oriented Starfish Lagoon and adult-focused Calypso Lagoon, which includes DJ Island and the 166-seat Mingo’s Tropical Bar & Kitchen swim-up bar. For added luxury, guests can reserve one of four Over-the-Lagoon Super Villas, offering shaded seating, stocked mini-fridges, sun loungers, water loungers, hammocks, and private lagoon access with a water slide.
The destination also includes Pearl Cove Beach Club, an adults-only retreat with an 11,000-square-foot infinity pool, daybeds, a private beach, and full-service dining. Families can reserve AquaBanas—floating cabanas with space for eight people—and enjoy the Guppy Grotto, a splash zone for toddlers.
Christine Duffy, Carnival Cruise Line’s president, will welcome the first guests to Celebration Key next month, marking a major expansion in Carnival’s private island offerings and enhancing the cruise experience with world-class amenities and immersive design.
