Carnival Updates Guest Conduct Letter Ahead of Summer

Carnival Cruise Line has made slight updates to its long-standing guest conduct letter, reminding passengers of onboard behavior expectations as the busy summer travel season begins. The letter, part of the cruise line’s “Have Fun. Be Safe” campaign, outlines several rules designed to maintain a safe and enjoyable environment for all guests and crew.

The letter emphasizes that children must be supervised at all times and that minors under 18 must vacate public areas by 1 a.m. unless accompanied by an adult in their group. It also reinforces quiet hours in cabin corridors and the use of headphones for personal electronic devices. Items such as personal speakers, radios, marijuana, smoking devices, and other prohibited substances are strictly forbidden.

Newly highlighted points include restrictions on handheld fans in nightclubs and a ban on beverages on dance floors. These refinements aim to enhance safety and comfort in onboard entertainment spaces.

Violations of these policies may result in serious consequences. The letter clearly states that disruptive behavior or actions affecting the comfort or safety of others can lead to fines, removal from the cruise at the passenger’s own expense, and a permanent ban from future sailings with Carnival.

According to Carnival spokesperson Matt Lupoli, the letter has been part of the company’s standard communication for over two years. The recent tweaks are part of routine updates shared through multiple channels during each sailing to ensure that all guests are aware of the rules supporting a respectful and enjoyable cruising experience.
