Carnival Valor has returned to service after completing an extensive dry dock refurbishment. The ship recently welcomed its first guests in Barcelona and is now sailing across the Atlantic toward New Orleans. From its homeport, Carnival Valor will operate 4- and 5-day Western Caribbean cruises, visiting popular destinations such as Cozumel and Progreso.

The renovation introduced several new features, including the addition of a WaterWorks aqua park and the Heroes Tribute Bar & Lounge. The dry dock also included accessibility upgrades throughout public spaces to enhance guest comfort.

“Heroes Tribute Bar & Lounge is a heartfelt salute to the brave men and women who have served and continue to serve our country, and it’s fitting to have this popular venue now featured on Carnival Valor, a ship named in honor of our heroes,” said Christine Duffy, president of Carnival Cruise Line. She noted that Carnival attracts more military families for vacations than any other cruise line.

Additional upgrades included refreshed staterooms, an updated casino, and a newly branded Cloud 9 Spa and fitness center. The ship now offers a Dream Studio for personalized photography sessions and a Carnival Adventures desk for booking shore excursions.

Youth areas also received enhancements, with updated spaces for Camp Ocean, Circle “C,” and Club O2. Throughout the ship, crews installed new carpeting and completed general refurbishments to improve the overall guest experience.
