Carnival’s Celebration Key Welcomes Two Ships for First Time

Carnival Cruise Line’s new private destination, Celebration Key on Grand Bahama, welcomed two ships simultaneously for the first time this week, marking a major milestone just days after its official opening.
On Tuesday, Carnival Glory and Carnival Conquest docked together at the 68-acre destination, bringing over 7,000 guests to enjoy the resort-style amenities. Celebration Key features a 1.5-mile white-sand beach, freshwater lagoons, swim-up bars, waterslides, and a variety of dining and relaxation areas designed to elevate the cruise experience.
“Celebration Key is already enhancing the guest experience for us since we officially opened just a few days ago,” said Christine Duffy, president of Carnival Cruise Line. “Docking two ships simultaneously offers more guests the opportunity to enjoy this exceptional destination, with ample space to relax and explore.”
Carnival is set to reach another milestone on Friday when Mardi Gras, the first Excel-class ship to call at Celebration Key, arrives alongside Carnival Pride. The visit will mark the debut of the line’s largest ship class at the new destination.
Celebration Key is a key component of Carnival’s strategy to offer exclusive and immersive shore experiences. A total of 20 Carnival ships from 10 U.S. homeports are scheduled to include the destination on upcoming itineraries, highlighting its growing importance in the cruise line’s Caribbean network.
Designed to handle multiple vessels and large guest volumes, Celebration Key is expected to become a popular stop across a wide range of Carnival voyages in the years ahead.
