Carnival’s new Mardi Gras cruise ship makes US debut

Carnival Cruise Line’s new Mardi Gras ship docked for the first time Friday at Port Canaveral in Florida. The ship consists of six neighborhoods — La Piazza, Grand Central, Lido, French Quarter, Landing and The Ultimate Playground featuring the roughly 800-foot-long “Bolt — Ultimate Sea Coaster” ride, which was manufactured by Maurer Rides.
