Cathay Pacific to Resume Daily Direct Flights to Hyderabad in 2025
Cathay Pacific has announced the resumption of its daily direct flights between Hong Kong and Hyderabad (HYD), starting on March 30, 2025. The return of this service is a key part of the airline’s strategy to strengthen its network presence in India and enhance connectivity through its home hub at Hong Kong International Airport (HKG).
The Hong Kong-Hyderabad route will be operated by Cathay Pacific’s Airbus A330-300 aircraft. Initially, the airline will offer three flights per week, with plans to increase the frequency to five flights per week beginning September 1, 2025. This move underscores Cathay Pacific’s commitment to expanding its services in the important Indian market.
“We are excited to resume direct flights to Hyderabad, reaffirming our strong presence in India and supporting cultural and trade ties between Hong Kong and India,” said Lavinia Lau, Cathay Pacific’s Chief Customer and Commercial Officer. “As we continue to grow our network, we aim to develop Hong Kong into a leading international aviation hub while connecting more travelers to Hong Kong and beyond.”
This new service will also improve connectivity for travelers from India, offering more convenient connections to Hong Kong, the Chinese Mainland, and Cathay Pacific’s extensive global network. By March 2025, Cathay Pacific will operate 39 weekly flights to India, including the newly resumed service to Hyderabad. This number will further rise to 43 weekly flights by September 2025, with additional daily flights to Delhi, 10 weekly flights to Mumbai, and daily services to Bengaluru and Chennai.
The introduction of daily flights to Hyderabad is part of Cathay Pacific’s broader plan to expand its India operations and enhance its connectivity to key international destinations, reinforcing the airline’s commitment to both business and leisure travelers in the region.
