Cebu Pacific carried 29 million passengers in 2024, surpassing pre-pandemic levels and cementing its position as one of Asia’s leading low-cost carriers. With a strong focus on international and domestic expansion, the airline continues to invest in fleet growth and strategic route development to serve more travelers across the Asia-Pacific region and the Middle East.

In 2024, Cebu Pacific added 15 new international routes, including services to Taiwan, Thailand, Japan, and Palawan. It now operates over 120 routes and maintains five key hubs across the Philippines—Manila, Cebu, Clark, and the newly established hubs at Davao and Iloilo. These additions support its growing international presence while solidifying leadership in the domestic market. By mid-2025, the airline will operate 82 Philippine routes, with six new domestic services to El Nido added through the acquisition of boutique carrier AirSWIFT.

Cebu Pacific is also making a historic investment in its future, placing an order for 152 new aircraft—the largest in Philippine aviation history. The airline operates one of the youngest fleets in Asia, with an average age of 5.9 years. Its focus on high-density, fuel-efficient aircraft allows for reduced fuel burn per seat, supporting its mission to offer low fares while minimizing environmental impact.

During Routes Asia 2025 in Perth, the airline’s proactive strategy and partnership-driven approach earned it the Airline category award for the second consecutive year at the Routes Awards. Angela Lugtu, Cebu Pacific’s director of network planning, emphasized the airline’s commitment to launching new destinations and credited the recognition to strong collaboration with airport and tourism partners. The win highlights Cebu Pacific’s reputation as a forward-thinking airline with a clear focus on network expansion and sustainable operations.

At the Perth event, the airline also held key meetings to explore future markets. Lugtu noted that Cebu Pacific arrived with specific goals and left with valuable insights to prioritize upcoming route launches, particularly across the Asia-Pacific and the Middle East.

Looking ahead, Cebu Pacific plans to expand its presence in high-growth markets with strategic airport collaborations and timely route launches. The carrier regularly updates its Routes 360 profile with the latest information on fleet plans and new route opportunities, ensuring transparency and continuous engagement with the global aviation community.

As Cebu Pacific scales up operations with a growing fleet and diversified network, it continues to redefine low-cost travel in the region. With bold expansion plans and sustained recognition, the airline remains a key player in shaping the future of air travel in Asia and beyond.
