Celebrity Beyond arrives in Southampton

The Bravo Network reality television show ‘Below Deck,’ and its spinoffs, has been a popular program for the channel as it shows how life works among crew members working on a private yacht for rent.

Now, one major cruise line will have its moment in the sun in a partnership with the network.
Bravo’s parent company, NBCUniversal, is teaming up with Celebrity Cruises to feature one of its ships, the Beyond, on an upcoming episode of Bravo’s ‘Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen’ talk show. Cohen’s show recaps the weekly episodes of the ‘Below Deck’ series and hosts an end-of-season reunion.

Filming took place aboard the Celebrity Beyond, according to Cruise Industry News. All five captains from the ‘Below Deck’ franchises gathered to discuss the cruise industry, including Captain Lee Rosbach, Captain Sandy Yawn, Captain Glenn Shepard, Captain Jason Chambers, and Captain Kerry Titheradge.

Rosbach and Chief Stew Kate Chastain from the original ‘Below Deck’ show became breakout stars.

The episode will air on Bravo on Tuesday, November 1.

“The partnership opportunity with NBCUniversal and Bravo was meant to be from the start. We both wanted to do something that hadn’t been done on a cruise ship before, so using our newest ship, Celebrity Beyond, as the backdrop, filming Watch ‘What Happens Live With Andy Cohen’ on our ship was the perfect opportunity,” Michael Scheiner, chief marketing officer, Celebrity Cruises, said in a statement.

Added Cohen in a statement: “I cannot think of a more iconic way to celebrate and bring to life the spirit of our very own, Bravo’s Below Deck – than by channeling my inner Captain at sea.”
