Celestyal Cruises Enhances Arabian Gulf Journeys

Celestyal Cruises is set to elevate its Arabian Gulf offerings for the 2025-26 season with a refreshed itinerary that promises a richer cultural experience and more time in some of the region’s most iconic destinations. Building on a successful first season in the Arabian Gulf, the cruise line is making strategic changes to better meet guest expectations and highlight the unique allure of the region.
Offered aboard the spacious 1,360-guest Celestyal Discovery, the new itineraries have been rebranded as “Iconic Arabia” cruises. These updated voyages now include additional stops in renowned cities such as Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Doha, while also introducing Ras Al Khaimah as an exciting new port of call. The adjustments come in response to valuable feedback from guests, travel advisors, and regional partners who emphasized a desire for more immersive experiences and longer stays at these celebrated ports.
Lee Haslet, Celestyal’s chief commercial officer, explained the rationale behind the changes: “Our guests have told us they love iconic destinations like Dubai, Doha and Abu Dhabi, as well as discovering more off-the-beaten-track ports that are synonymous with a Celestyal voyage, such as Sir Bani Yas Island and the coastal resort of Khasab.” Haslet further noted that the cruise line has built its reputation on offering destination-immersive and port-intensive experiences. “We’ve refined our 2025 itineraries to provide more time in our guests’ favourite ports while adding an additional port in the stunning Ras Al Khaimah,” he continued.
This revamped itinerary is designed to give travelers an even deeper connection to the culture, history, and modern marvels of the Arabian Gulf. Guests will have the opportunity to explore the glittering skylines of Dubai and Abu Dhabi, enjoy the vibrant cultural scenes of Doha, and experience the evolving tourism appeal of Ras Al Khaimah—a destination increasingly recognized for its blend of natural beauty and contemporary attractions. Additionally, the itinerary still features visits to hidden gems such as Sir Bani Yas Island and the charming coastal enclave of Khasab, ensuring that passengers experience both well-known and lesser-explored locales.
Celestyal Discovery is scheduled to embark on its inaugural journey to the Arabian Gulf on December 12, 2025, joining forces with the 1,260-guest Celestyal Journey, which is set to return to the region on December 6, 2025. The Celestyal Journey will continue to offer its popular “Desert Days” itinerary, maintaining its commitment to providing unforgettable experiences in the region.
The strategic expansion and renaming of these itineraries underscore Celestyal Cruises’ commitment to listening to its customers and adapting to emerging trends in the travel industry. As cruise tourism in the Arabian Gulf continues to grow, the cruise line’s proactive approach in enhancing the passenger experience is expected to solidify its reputation as a leader in destination-specific cruising.
By introducing a more diverse selection of ports and dedicating more time to each destination, Celestyal Cruises is not only responding to customer demand but also setting a new standard for immersive travel in the region. This thoughtful itinerary update ensures that travelers can enjoy a deeper, richer, and more culturally engaging voyage across one of the world’s most dynamic regions.
