Celestyal Cruises Expands to Arabian Gulf with New Offerings
Celestyal Cruises, renowned for its immersive travel experiences, is set to expand its operations in the Arabian Gulf, marking an exciting chapter for the boutique cruise line. A recently signed Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Visit Qatar indicates a three-year commitment to promoting Qatar as a premier destination for Celestyal’s international guests and travel agent partners.
The MOU, signed during the World Travel Market in London, coincides with the launch of Celestyal’s inaugural Arabian Gulf season. This debut season kicks off with the seven-night “Desert Days & Qatar Grand Prix” cruise aboard the Celestyal Journey, accommodating up to 1,260 guests. Departing from Doha on November 30, 2024, the cruise will allow guests to experience the Qatar Airways Qatar Grand Prix 2024, featuring sprint, qualifying, and race days.
The itinerary includes stops at Khasab, Oman, and Dubai, Sir Bani Yas Island, and Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates, before returning to Doha. A special onboard event will feature Formula 1 driver David Coulthard, who will discuss his impressive 15-season career with Williams, McLaren, and Red Bull, along with his transition to TV broadcasting for the BBC and Channel 4.
The Celestyal Journey will operate its seven-day “Desert Days” itinerary roundtrip from Doha, with the season running from November 2024 to March 2025. The ship is committed to this schedule for the next three years, with its sister ship, Celestyal Discovery, joining the Gulf season in December 2025, offering shorter three- and four-night “Iconic Arabia” sailings from Abu Dhabi.
In addition to its Middle Eastern expansion, Celestyal is strengthening its North American sales team with four new executives, enhancing its presence in the region. These industry veterans will support the company’s growth and identity in the North American market under the leadership of Brandon Townsley, Vice President and Managing Director.
