Chefs serve up tasty alternatives in empty hotel rooms

Hotels in Minneapolis-St. Paul are repurposing some vacant rooms as private venues for fine dining, replenishing starved budgets while addressing consumer leeriness about eating out. “We were trying to think of ways to keep cooking,” says executive chef Nyle Flynn of the Hewing Hotel, where 14 rooms have been converted to the innovative use.
